Dysphagia

As speech pathologists, we evaluate and help treat dysphagia.

We perform an assessment through interviews, observation and specialized tests. We identify the nature and severity of your difficulty.

We then recommend exercises to strengthen the swallowing muscles and teach techniques to make eating safer.

We also discuss the food diet - recommending adjustments for textures and swallowability.

And as speech-language pathologists, we always coordinate and collaborate with dietitians, doctors, caregivers, and, of course, the patient.
